BIWOC* Rising’s Year in Review & 2025 Vision

Dear Community, dear Friends,

2024 – what a year! Full of challenges, energy, and moments that made us even stronger as a community. From our shared Iftar in March to our Anniversary & Booklet Launch in November, this year has been a rollercoaster that showed us: community becomes more important year after year, month after month.

We’ve had not only unforgettable events but also built intensive networks, taken bold steps in new directions, and said goodbye to dear people. But as we look back, we feel: the next chapter is already calling – and we have big plans ahead.

What moved us in 2024? What can we expect in 2025? And what have we achieved together that will have a lasting impact? We share all this and more in this year’s review. So make yourself comfortable and join us on a journey through a year of change and solidarity…

INTERSECTIONAL WORK & SOCIAL CLUB

BIWOC* Rising is the first intersectional work & social club in Berlin and Germany. This safer space is exclusively for women, trans, inter and non-binary people who identify as Black, indigenous or of Colour! Through training programs, empowerment workshops, and a work-desk in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg, BIWOC* Rising is creating a new working culture – a working culture that transcends the white, homogenous, capitalist one that has been a core driver of gentrification and marginalization in Berlin.
