It’s that time again! Summer, sunshine, and the return of the BIWoC* Rising Picnic 🌞🌿 This year’s theme is “Network & Hangs”, a relaxed space to meet new people, reconnect with old friends, and simply enjoy being together under the open sky. It’s been an intense year, especially for BIWoC* and TINBIPoC — let’s take this moment to unwind and come together.

We're often told to face money alone - but that isolation keeps us serving money, instead of letting money serve us. This workshop is a chance to shift that narrative, together.

Speaking Without Othering with Selin M.
Rethinking Inclusion as a Felt Experience We often talk about inclusion, but what if our words unintentionally create distance instead of connection? In this workshop, we slow down and ask deeper questions:
How do we speak with people, not about them?
How can we welcome without demanding personal disclosure?

AI and Antidiscrimination – Lunch Talk at BIWOC* Rising 🍽️ Used ChatGPT? Building with AI? Either way, it’s shaping our world — and it's far from neutral. Join us for a Lunch Talk with Dr. Chripa Schneller, who’s bringing deep anti-discrimination expertise into the world of tech. We’ll talk bias, intention vs. impact, and what it means to build fairer systems — by design. 🗓 16 May 2025 | 🕛 12–2 PM 📍 BIWOC* Rising Space 🍴 Bring your lunch – food for thought is on us Open to all BIWoC* & TIN*BIPoC.

In der neuen Folge von (H)our Realities tauchen wir ein in die Frage, wie Care-Arbeit, Selbstständigkeit und politischer Aktivismus zusammenhängen.

INTERSECTIONAL WORK & SOCIAL CLUB

BIWOC* Rising is the first intersectional work & social club in Berlin and Germany. This safer space is exclusively for women, trans, inter and non-binary people who identify as Black, indigenous or of Colour! Through training programs, empowerment workshops, and a work-desk in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg, BIWOC* Rising is creating a new working culture – a working culture that transcends the white, homogenous, capitalist one that has been a core driver of gentrification and marginalization in Berlin.
