Community Iftar  Potluck

This Ramadan, and especially as it coincides with Black History Month, BIWOC* Rising invites you to our Community Potluck Iftar on Thursday the 26th of Feb at 17:40. This will be an evening of sharing, eating, laughing, and connecting. At Dresdener Str. 11 10999 Berlin.

Bring a dish to share and join our community of BIW*oC & TIN*BIPoC , practicing and non-practicing Muslims, as well as friends from all faiths and beyond.

It’s a busy day at our space, so feel free to join any part of it! From 16:00–18:00, we’ll be screening the From Expertise to Impact workshop by Yasar Ahmad (online workshop for BIPOC as part of @equinetde), then move together for Iftar, then folks can join the Feminist Reading & Social Circle at 19:00 with @yeswebleed

We can’t wait to welcome you to @biwocrising and share this day with our community!

INTERSECTIONAL WORK & SOCIAL CLUB

BIWOC* Rising is the first intersectional work & social club in Berlin and Germany. This safer space is exclusively for women, trans, inter and non-binary people who identify as Black, indigenous or of Colour! Through training programs, empowerment workshops, and a work-desk in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg, BIWOC* Rising is creating a new working culture – a working culture that transcends the white, homogenous, capitalist one that has been a core driver of gentrification and marginalization in Berlin.
