Workshop: Questioning ‘normal’ – Disability and Collective Care

Online-Workshop with Orchi Lohani

We will discuss disability and ableism, and how we can be more considerate, inclusive and intentional in our daily lives and shared spaces. We will touch on disability justice, accessibility and reflect on justice for all.Participants are invited to come and interact (if they wish to) however they feel comfortable, as access needs may be different. Please write to me (at orchi.ahana@gmail.com) or the organizers at BIWOC* Rising, so that we can make the workshop more accessible for you!

I’m Orchi Lohani (none/they/my name/neutral) and I’m a queer* and ‘disabled’ organizer, trainer and creative, based between the global ‘north’ and ‘south’. I try to untangle the chaos of the present neocolonial world and work towards building community, resistance and intersectional justice together.

INTERSECTIONAL WORK & SOCIAL CLUB

BIWOC* Rising is the first intersectional co-working space & social club in Berlin and Germany. This safer space is exclusively for women, trans, inter and non-binary people who identify as Black, indigenous or of Colour! Through training programs, empowerment workshops, and a work-desk in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg, BIWOC* Rising is creating a new working culture – a working culture that transcends the white, homogenous, capitalist one that has been a core driver of gentrification and marginalization in Berlin.
