Empowering others, offering new opportunities, and creating an amazing atmosphere are central in my work. I identify as a Black Mixed Woman from the working class, and this identity significantly shapes my approach to work. To me, diversity and inclusion aren’t just add-ons — they’re the core.

Throughout my career in media, academia (as a researcher and lecturer), and in business, I’ve often been the only one with my distinct background. I’ve faced numerous challenges, including racism, microaggressions, and systemic injustices. Time and time again, I’ve stood up for my rights, often driving transformative change within organizations — a journey both challenging and traumatic.

With my channel „Learning with Lissi,“ I strive to uplift and empower those with backgrounds similar to mine. I share knowledge and skills that are often inaccessible to marginalized individuals and working class people without connections. This initiative is deeply rooted in empowerment, drawing from my personal experiences of relying on inner strength in the absence of external support.

As a journalist and moderator, I cover a wide range of topics from pop culture, AI and inclusion, to career and business. At the 4Gamechanger Festival 2023 in Austria, I made a significant contribution by curating and hosting a segment titled „What Moves You? – Diversity”, which was also broadcast live on television. During this segment, I seamlessly combined dance, dialogues, and multimedia to spotlight diverse creators and artists, each sharing their distinct experiences. Through this segment, I highlighted the value of true diversity, a facet frequently missed in mainstream media.

As a founder, I’m dedicated to forging an inclusive future for the marginalized. I strive to empower them, ensuring they’re seen not merely as „nice-to-haves“ or „diversity hires.“ I stand for their acknowledgment as exceptional individuals, whose diverse experiences enrich organizations and should be met with both respect and just compensation.
