COWORKING FESTIVAL GERMANY

Open House

Curious about how an alternative coworking space and social club driven by social justice — not capitalism — operates? Ever wanted to check out BIWOC* Rising, but never found the right time? Join us tomorrow for our Open House! From 7 to 9 PM, explore our space and take part in an open roundtable discussion on the impact of the far-right shift in Germany and the importance of coworking spaces in this context. Our space — usually exclusively for BIW*oC & TIN*BIPoC — will be open to everyone.

ROUNDTABLE
In a time where the rise of the far-right in Germany is having tangible impacts on various aspects of life, we invite you to an open discussion at our roundtable on the role coworking spaces play in this context. Together, we’ll explore the importance of safer spaces for marginalized groups and the challenges posed by current political shifts. What responsibility do we all share in fostering more just working environments?

WE ARE PART OF GERMANY’S FIRST COWORKING FESTIVAL!
From September 23-27 2024, the Coworking Festival Germany launches its first nationwide celebration, uniting coworking spaces across all 16 of Germany’s federal states. This distributed event highlights the power of coworking to foster innovation, connect remote workers, and support economic development in both urban and rural areas.

INTERSECTIONAL WORK & SOCIAL CLUB

BIWOC* Rising is the first intersectional work & social club in Berlin and Germany. This safer space is exclusively for women, trans, inter and non-binary people who identify as Black, indigenous or of Colour! Through training programs, empowerment workshops, and a work-desk in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg, BIWOC* Rising is creating a new working culture – a working culture that transcends the white, homogenous, capitalist one that has been a core driver of gentrification and marginalization in Berlin.
