FEMINIST SHORTS NIGHT

MOVIE NIGHT
curated by canan turan

Join us for our first Feminist Shorts Night, featuring five empowering short films. Curated by BIWOC* Rising member Canan Turan, the films highlight female-centered stories and were handpicked from the Tallgrass Film Festival 2024. All proceeds go directly into covering our rent to keep the BIWOC* Rising Space going – especially with political funding cuts.

All proceeds go towards keeping our space open. With political funding cuts, your support is vital for maintaining our community space.

INTERSECTIONAL WORK & SOCIAL CLUB

BIWOC* Rising is the first intersectional co-working space & social club in Berlin and Germany. This safer space is exclusively for women, trans, inter and non-binary people who identify as Black, indigenous or of Colour! Through training programs, empowerment workshops, and a work-desk in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg, BIWOC* Rising is creating a new working culture – a working culture that transcends the white, homogenous, capitalist one that has been a core driver of gentrification and marginalization in Berlin.
