MAGIC ON THE MARGINS: Navigating
Identity, Power, & Emotional Labor in the Workplace

with Awadalla

Navigating Identity, Power, & Emotional Labor in the Workplace

How does your identity shape the emotional labor you take on at work? What power dynamics impact how you navigate your workspace? This workshop dives into these questions and more. Through interactive discussions and activities, we’ll uncover strategies to manage this labor, address power imbalances, and foster more inclusive environments. Focused on intersectional justice, we’ll explore how marginalized identities transform workspaces, tackle invisible emotional burdens, and reshape work-life dynamics for a fairer future.

INTERSECTIONAL WORK & SOCIAL CLUB

BIWOC* Rising is the first intersectional co-working space & social club in Berlin and Germany. This safer space is exclusively for women, trans, inter and non-binary people who identify as Black, indigenous or of Colour! Through training programs, empowerment workshops, and a work-desk in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg, BIWOC* Rising is creating a new working culture – a working culture that transcends the white, homogenous, capitalist one that has been a core driver of gentrification and marginalization in Berlin.
